Kyrsten Walker

Kyrsten Walker (they/them) is a native Washingtonian with a passion for dismantling bias and "taboos" and disseminating hope through cultural and cognitive awareness of oneself. Their work started at Children's National in D.C. on their Youth Advisory Board, later matriculating to ATN's NCAB, where they found themselves dedicated to understanding sexual and social determinants of health disparities amongst minority communities. These experiences drove them to pursue a career in biotechnology and molecular sciences, while pursuing a minor in global public health. Kyrsten's goal is to foster hope and community resilience to those disproportionately affected by all factors correlated to health and to find solutions to ensure accessibility, understanding, and safety.
