Selection Process

  • Our steering committee will review applications, conduct interviews, and select trainees. Candidates will undergo interviews with the steering committee and potential mentors to evaluate their suitability for the program.
  • The selection criteria will focus on the candidates' academic achievements, research potential, and alignment with the program's goals.
  • Once selected, trainees will be matched with primary and secondary mentors based on their research interests and goals.
     

About the NURTURe Program

NURTURe Program is a T32 training program funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR). The program is based at the Florida State University College of Nursing and implemented through the Institute on Digital Health and Innovation with support from the College of Medicine's interdisciplinary Center for Translational Behavioral Science. The NURTURe program will train the next generation of nurse scientists to:

Design, implement, and evaluate innovative digital health interventions to improve prevention, health management, and patient outcomes across populations

Secure independent funding to translate technological innovations into scalable, sustainable practices that address health outcomes

Collaborate across disciplines and multisectoral partners to lead research that bridges the divide between clinical and community practice, technological development, and health policy
