Hanne S. Harbison, MHSPH, MSN, WHNP-BC received a Bachelor's in Geography and Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College. She then worked in public health before returning to school where she received a Master's in Health Sciences in Public Health with a focus on Maternal and Child Health from Johns Hopkins University. She then went on to receive a Bachelors and Masters in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
She worked in research for 13 years in oncology, HIV and STD's where she was a coordinator for new drug and device trials as well as qualitative studies looking at sexual health behavior. For the past 8 years she has been full-time faculty in the Women's Health Gender-Related Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Pennsylvania School or Nursing. She also practices clinically at Thomas Jefferson University in their outpatient OB/GYN department.
Her clinical interests include menopause, vaginitis, STI's and bias in healthcare. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing at Florida State University where her research topic is menopause.
