Joseph Ingram (he/him) is a junior at North Carolina Central University, majoring in Mass Communications with a minor in Political Science. He is the President and Founder of The Collegiate Haus of Vultúr, the first ballroom house established on a college campus, created to empower students especially LGBTQ+ students and allies to build confidence and embrace unapologetic self-expression through ballroom culture, including vogue, modeling, and fashion. Through his leadership, he has organized and hosted multiple ballroom events at North Carolina Central University, awarding cash prizes and creating affirming spaces for artistic and cultural expression. His work centers on community building, representation, and empowering students to dare to be themselves. His commitment to advocacy began in high school through his involvement with the Guilford Green Foundation, where he helped organize inclusive alternative proms. This experience led him to serve as a Peer Health Educator with Planned Parenthood through the Clued Teen Health Program (2022–2023), where he led discussions on youth wellness, sexual health education, and community awareness initiatives. Across media, advocacy, and cultural leadership, he remains committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and building platforms that inspire confidence, creativity, and impact.
