Swetha Mukalel
Swetha Mukalel (they/them) was born and raised in Tampa, FL, cultivating a deep-rooted passion for community health and inclusive healthcare. Throughout their undergraduate years, they wholeheartedly dedicated themselves to promoting health within their hometown. Their active involvement included participation in youth advisory boards and volunteering for initiatives like the Ending the HIV Epidemic program. Currently, they work in HIV prevention as both an educator and health professional. Their primary goal is to ensure equitable access to routine testing and healthcare services for everyone in their community, actively collaborating to dismantle barriers individuals may encounter. Beyond their professional pursuits, they find solace in reading and eagerly welcome book recommendations. At home, they have two cats who demand undivided attention whenever possible.
