Karissa (they/them) joins the Institute on Digital Health and Innovation as a Research Coordinator for Adolescent Medicine Trials Network (ATN) projects such as HAPPY, LYPS, IMPACT, and CHOOSE. They graduated from a university in Oregon where they received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Since graduating Karissa worked on various research projects focused on racial trauma, interpersonal stressors, substance use, and health outcomes in gender diverse Autistic adults. In addition to working in the field of research, Karissa worked as a Confidential Domestic Violence advocate for several years where they provided services to QTBIPOC and college survivors. Outside of work, they enjoy baking gluten-free treats, reading, gardening, going on walks, and playing the piano.
