Dr. Geraldine Martorella (she/her) is an associate professor in the College of Nursing. Her program of research consists in developing and evaluating innovative and patient-centered non-pharmacological interventions for pain management and chronic pain prevention. Using experimental and mixed method designs, the focus of her research has been on Web-based and tailored interventions targeting psychosocial factors of pain and facilitating pain self-management. Her interventions include educational, CBT, mindfulness and brain stimulation approaches.
