Elias Preciado (he/him/his) is a rising public health professional with interests in STI & HIV Prevention, and linking those newly diagnosed with HIV to needed healthcare services. Currently, he holds the position of Health Communications Liaison at Urban Health Plan, one of the largest FQHCs in New York State. He is charged with developing and disseminating HIV-related health communications, through an internal monthly newsletter, and a social media campaign. Prior to this role, he held research positions studying: HIV vaccines, HIV self-testing, and social determinants of health. He is grateful that his previous experiences have given him a foundation for health education. He looks forward to continuing to work in HIV prevention, and working to further reduce LGBTQIA+ health disparities.
